Description

Petra, Maria, and the rest of the staff provide a safe, family environment for your little one. The two-story home is amazingly clean and there is plenty of space for the children to play. It’s small, only serving perhaps a dozen children, but that means there is one adult for every 5-6 children. They all get plenty of attention and supervision.

The daycare includes formula, diapers, and meals, all at a fair price. Discover the World is filled with books, and Petra and Maria read to the children often. In fact, every day is planned with activities for the kids, such as music, arts and crafts, and even baby yoga. Scheduled reading, playtime, outdoor play, and meals and snacks are all planned.

Parents receive regular updates, photos, and videos via WhatsApp, and every child has a notebook, in which every meal, nap, and diaper change throughout the day is recorded.

Discover the World also organizes many parties and different events throughout the year, such as birthday parties, Thanksgiving dinners, and much more. These are opportunities for the parents to meet each other and get involved.

Infants and toddlers advance quickly and smoothly through their developmental milestones, under the compassionate supervision of Discover the World. Fussy babies learn to eat, nap, and calm down, and toddlers learn to play and cooperate with adults and other children.

At Discover the World, children have an opportunity to study new languages. Due to the multilingual caregivers, the children often pick up other languages, including Spanish, Korean, and Japanese.

The care and communication are tailored to every family and child, for an optimal experience of happiness, understanding, and growth.

Our son has been going to Discover the World daycare for more than 2 years, and we are extremely happy with his experience there. We really recommend this place to anyone looking for a daycare you can trust.Petra and her staff take great care of our son and every child there. Children really have fun and are very well treated. Petra’s daughters were also part of the daycare and we were invited to celebrate the girl’s birthdays as well as the rest of the families. Our son loves this family so much.Kids are exposed to English and Spanish due to the bilingual teacher, Maria.Maria is a very nice person. Our son loves her, she is very caring and gentle.During all this time, Petra has organized many events and parties during the year for kids and parents to participate and get involved. Kids are always very happy to spend the week there. Some of the activities they do daily includes: Story time, Circle time, arts and crafts, music classes with different teachers, playing with water during the summer, going for walks, etc. What matters the most to us is that they really take care of our son and he spends time with people he cares about, real friends! She gave us a big hand with potty training too!If you are interested in a home daycare, this is a great one. Petra and her staff really know how to do their job.Carolina and Pabloread more

My wife and I have had a great experience with all 3 of our children. Our oldest is now almost 4 and is thriving in preschool because of the development he received at this daycare. Our younger two children are still at the daycare and love it. They are happy, developing quickly, and most of all are safe. Petra and her assistants do a great job and treat the children like their own. The adult to child ratio is fantastic and provides opportunity for one on one time for development. Our oldest started learning Spanish and English while there. I do not know Spanish and he was actually teaching me! I would recommend this daycare to anyone, especially anyone looking for an alternative to the mass daycare operations where one adult is watching 20 kids. We love the personal attention our children receive and the safe environment they are in.read more
