If you’re like the best of us, you’re probably a decent fan of big athleisure brands. For many years, we’ve fallen in love with everything that folks at Lululemon, Spanx, and Gymshark churn out. That’s why our affection for this pair of high-rise leggings came naturally.
Right from unboxing these leggings, we loved that The Gym People focused on flexible comfort over everything else. The fabric (which comprises 12% spandex and 88% polyester) earns a very high score from us for being extremely comfortable, soft to the touch, and incredibly flexible (and this applies from the waist down to the leg). This is one comfy pair of leggings we’d wish to live in year-round.
Starting from the waistline, it’s ultra-high, which means it not only covers the navel but also offers up some serious stomach support and tummy control. The waistband is wide and tight enough to stay put and not roll down or fall. For this reason, we prefer these leggings for workouts, yoga, and general fitness activities.
When it comes to the material blend, these flattering camo leggings are thick enough and provide excellent moisture control. The all-way spandex is really stretchy yet tight enough to keep the leggings up without digging, pinching, or pulling at those awkward skin areas. We love the combination of polyester and elastic spandex, which helps wick away moisture and keep the skin dry, airy, and sweat-free during extra hot weather and high-intensity workouts.
Another good thing about this fabric is that it offers plenty of support and soft compression, so our stomachs don’t feel that they’re being crushed. Moreover, a gusset mesh is woven into the crotch area of the leggings. This helps prevent the leggings from riding up, improves opacity in this “sensitive” area, and enhances the comfort experience.
The gusset in the seat of the leggings promotes flexibility and minimizes chafing during movements. We liked that they feature interlocking seams on the inside of the leggings, which also helps reduce chafing and rubbing, improving the overall wearability of the product. These features also make these high-waisted leggings perfect for women who love working out, yoga, and overall staying active.
If you love the handiness of extra-roomy pockets of sweat pants or cargo pants (if you like ‘’em), then you’ll flip over the two functional side & inner pockets of these leggings. They can easily accommodate a modest sweat towel, wallet, keys, and phone – exactly what you need to stay fit without worrying about the whereabouts and safety of your belongings.
We’re totally in love with the all-over camo print, especially the symmetrical pattern down the sides of these leggings. They not only catch the eye but make the leggings easy to pair with most outfits, including your favorite socks and tops to sneakers and even loafers.
The choice of colors and prints are endless here, as you can pick from solid hues like capris black, ink blue, and dark olive, as well as many patterns, such as graffiti, tie-dye, marble, and leopard print — just to mention a few.
