Iliette’s Home Day Care has been serving the community since 1998, providing a warm and loving family atmosphere for your children. It’s an atmosphere in which your child’s need to develop self-confidence, self-awareness, self-appreciation, and self-expression is fostered.
The day at Iliette’s is structured with a regular schedule, starting with free play, breakfast, circle time, learning numbers and ABCs, games, music, storytime, lunch and nap time.
There is a park across the street which is a great place for the children to play under supervision, and to go to after being picked up by their parents.
Iliette’s Home Day Care offers before and after school programs, daytime care, drop-in care, and full-time child care services. The prices are very reasonable and include breakfast and lunch.

This is an outstanding home daycare that has been open since approximately 1993. The owner, Ivette, opened her daycare… when she was unable to find satisfactory care for her youngest son in his infancy. Her daycare has, since then, been highly recommended by all parents I have spoken with in the community who are familiar with it.My experience with this business is that I am a parent of four (widely spaced), children, and my youngest three, now 12 years, 9 years, and 21 months, all attended this daycare from 12 weeks on until 3.5 years. My youngest is still there. In total, my kids have attended this daycare for 8 years, from 2003-2009, and from early 2014 to present.For anyone who does not want to read through this review, the bottom line is that when I have left my new babies in Ivette’s care at age 12 weeks, I have always felt completely safe and comfortable that my children were receiving at least the level of care and attention they would at home (or better) and have not worried about them at all. That is huge for a parent, and not particularly easy to find. She is in this business because she loves children, and that is always evident in how she manages to keep 5+ children safe and happy. Children are happy to be left there in the morning and often don’t want to leave at night. She is super generous and committed to making each child feel loved and celebrates their growth. She is also very observant about each child. She will be the first to tell you/notice if your child is fussy from a tooth, needs to try a different diaper rash formula etc.Some other advantages:She is extremely reliable-In the 8 years we have been there, she has had an unexpected closure only once (during the terrible Albany Park floods of 2008, which affected her home daycare). She is also flexible, children can be dropped off earlier in the morning than 7 (no extra charge) if necessary for the parents’ work schedule.She has boundless energy-this, along with her love for children sets her business apart, she is able to display positivity and help them maximize every day by making sure they get some active play, learning time, and outside time when possible.She is super organized, clean, and detail oriented-this helps her keep on top of and fully comply with the myriad and ever changing DCFS licensing requirements, her reps consistently tell her that her daycare is the best organized one they visit. Her cleaning habits I think help keep the kids healthy, my three kids who went there have hardly ever been sick (only two ear infections b/t all three of them I think), as opposed to the oldest who went to a different daycare, and had constant ear infections his first 12 months in daycare.She definitely teaches the kids. My two middle kids were very well prepared for pre-k, know all the nursery songs I can think of, and somehow picked up on colors, numbers, letters, etc. very early (and without me working on these things with them). Their academic success has continued as they are now in middle and grade school.Her prices are very affordable-I have not heard of any better prices on the North side. She supplies everything except diapers and formula as well.She is bilingual-from Puerto Rico but has been here about 30 years. Kids will come out of the daycare understanding English and Spanish.We feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon this business (playground referral was how we found it) and would recommend it to anyone.read more
