Description

Irving Park Early Learning Center is a highly-rated learning daycare center. While your child is here, they’ll not only be prepared for kindergarten, but they’ll also be loved and nurtured. The programs are customized to each child’s individual needs, and the teachers are dedicated to helping all children meet their developmental milestones to prepare them for school.

The classrooms at Irving Park are organized into smaller units where children can pick from a variety of activities that encourage problem-solving as well as socializing with other children.

Children learn not only about the world around them but also about themselves. Through exploration, experimentation, and discovery, the classrooms provide an environment where children can move freely in a loving and safe environment. The activities available to the children include art, building blocks, housekeeping, a library, dramatic play, puzzles, playsets, and much more.

The curriculum at Irving Park Learning Center places an emphasis on a child’s developmental milestones. These milestones are physical skills and social behaviors that most babies and children can accomplish by a certain age. These include how they act and move, play, learn, and speak; milestones can provide vital information about a child’s early development.

The Creative Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds encourages children to be actively creative explorers not only in the classroom, but the community at large. For preschoolers, the Creative Curriculum also focuses on critical-thinking skills and a hands-on approach to learning.

One thing that makes the Irving Park Learning Center unique is the Spanish immersion language lessons. Early immersion is the best way for children to become bilingual; in this day and age, fluency in Spanish is important, benefiting them throughout their life. The Spanish immersion lessons begin introducing infants to Spanish daily, with hands-on, age-appropriate activities. The children learn basic Spanish, helping them to grow cognitively.

Sign language lessons are another thing that sets Irving Park apart; it’s a tool the teachers can use before a child is ready to talk. By using baby sign language, infants and toddlers can let their needs be known. For example, if a little one wants more food, they can sign for it. Moreover, learning and using sign language helps a small child improve their cognitive and social abilities.

The parents’ input, questions, and concerns about their child’s progress are encouraged. There are two parent-teacher conferences every school year, where teachers have the opportunity to learn more about a child as well as build a positive partnership with the parents.

Irving Park offers the children a healthy breakfast, lunch, and two snacks in the afternoon. Children go outside to play every day, weather permitting, in a large, fenced, private playground. For safety, the playground’s flooring is made from rubber safety tiles for a safer, softer landing when a kid takes a tumble.

It’s difficult to articulate the appreciation we have for this Center as it’s overwhelming positive! Our daughter attended from the age of 4 months through 2 years old and enjoyed every day. There’s a strong family culture and the sense of care is apparent. The children truly love their teachers, which is easy to identify by their smiling faces each time they arrive each morning. I couldn’t promote this Center more and I wish each employee, student and family the best life has to offer. We’re moving out of state which is the ONLY reason our daughter will no longer be attending. All the best and special thanks to Bardha. You perform your job at an exceptional level.read more

IPELC is the best choice for your child’s preschool/daycare. The staff are all loving, caring and have their best interest in your child. They have a playground attached to the school that is age appropriate for every child and wonderful healthy meals provided by the school. Best of all is the safety of the building. You can’t get in the facility unless you have a code to get in. I absolutely reccomend IPELC to any parent, family and child.read more

If you are new parents or parents just looking for daycare, IPELC is the place for you! I am very picky as to who looks over my children and although this location was close to where we were living, I didn’t give them much thought, MISTAKE on my part! This group of educators give you the piece of mind you need so that you can focus on your occupation. Not only do they welcome you in with open arms, but they give you a tour of the facility on the spot! Bardha has been operating the two facilities for 20 years, and encourages all parents to interact with their children and each other. Parties are held for most holidays and it’s great to see the other parents who are at the facility. She posts the degrees of each teacher at the center so that you feel more confident that each educator has been schooled for the position. The teachers send you daily recaps and pics of your child’s activities. She sends lunch menus for the month, she calls if your child shows any signs of sickness, she knows every child’s name and will even participate in the occasional sing-a-long. Your child is in safe hands, I GUARANTEE IT!read more

After touring many daycares locally and in the suburbs near my office, we selected Irving Park Early Learning Center for our daughter. IPELC was the only daycare that truly felt like home for our daughter. The staff are friendly, warm, loving and foster creativity and growth. I continue to be amazed as our oldest daughter moves from the infant room to toddler to two’s at the learning environment each teacher provides. She has loved each classroom equally and looks forward to school every day! It’s reassuring to know she loves all her teachers, is so well cared for and is learning so much (she’s singing songs in English, Spanish, Albanian and Greek!)! We love the daily photos and progress reports – it’s very easy to communicate with the teachers and check in on your little ones! We’ve now enrolled our 12 week old in IPELC too. We cannot thank the staff here enough for taking such wonderful care of our girls and creating a loving home away from home where they can both learn, grow and play.read more

We have sent our daughter here for 1.5 years and have been very happy. The teachers are excellent and I have never once felt concerned about leaving her there everyday. She doesn’t want to leave most days when I pick her up so that just goes to show how happy she is while there and that we picked the right place.read more
