Description

Diana’s Daycare Center is dedicated to providing quality care for infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children. It’s a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children can grow and learn. Diana believes in a developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experience, inspiring children to interact and learn about the world around them.

Diana’s skilled staff partners with the parents to encourage and develop each child’s emotional, social, intellectual, and physical well being.

The curriculum is based on the theory that children learn best through play, so Diana’s allows free play periods during which the children can choose to spend their time in group games, reading, arts, and crafts, science activities, and learning to cook.

The curriculum encourages independent thinking, learning from mistakes, developing close and meaningful friendships, and decision-making. Diana and her staff want to help your child develop the life-skills necessary for not only school achievement, but a successful life.

The curriculum is built around a monthly theme, learning nursery rhymes, shapes, letters, days of the week and so much more.

Diana and her staff are committed to the well-being and development of every child in their care. Every staff member:

  • Has extensive training in early child development education
  • Receives continuing education and professional development
  • Is certified in First-aid and CPR
  • Commits to forming a partnership with parents and families
  • Supports and encourages every child’s independence and self-control
  • Focuses on preparing every child for their developmental milestones

Diana’s Daycare Center adheres to the Illinois Licensing child to staff ratio for Infants: 4:1, and Toddlers/Preschoolers: 8:1.

Diana’s also offers 30 minutes of Spanish immersion every day. The children learn words to build their Spanish vocabulary through singing and other activities.

The children also engage in music and art to encourage creative thinking, creating the foundation for self-esteem, team work, problem-solving, and brilliant imaginations.

Diana is amazing! She took care of our daughter from 3 months old to 3.5 years and I always knew she was in a loving, safe, nurturing environment where Diana took the best care of all the children. She is so knowledgeable about growth stages and skills that kids should be learning bc of her teaching background. We found a treasure in Diana and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. She truly is the best!!read more

Our children have been at Diana’s for three years. They are happy, thriving, and learning new things all the time! We love the wonderful community feel, and have made friends with other families. Highly recommended! My son started at 18 months and is now 4. My daughter started at 6 months, and is now almost two.read more

This is a great, new day care center in Andersonville, led by Diana, who has over 30 years in child care. She and her staff are amazing! She has been taking care of my little one since he was 12 weeks (he’s now 16 months – we started at her home) and I feel 100% confident that he is in the best hands while I’m at work. They have a separate room for the little ones (I think up to 18 month or 2 years, can’t remember now), and a bigger room for the preschoolers. Everything in the center is brand new, clean and organized. Diana is very careful about choosing her staff, and everyone there is wonderful. Jessica and Kim have worked with Diana for years, and Diana’s daughter is super sweet and competent too. I strongly recommend this gem of a daycare center if you’re looking for a place where you can leave your baby/little kid and keep peace of mind that s/he will be more than fine.read more
